 Kappa Delta puts a high stress on scholarship. We pride ourselves on maintaining a GPA above the all-woman’s average at Kansas State. Our House likes to recognize and reward its members each semester for good grades and study habits. Our Academic Excellence program is built upon a point system. We implement a point system, which is based on an individual’s GPA from the previous semester. Those individual’s with lower GPA’s will need to achieve more points compared to an individual with a higher GPA. Points are collected every two weeks.
Girls are able to receive points by attending study hours at the Kappa Delta Sorority House, K-State Hale Library, or K-State Residence Halls. We also encourage individual study hours, which the girls monitor themselves. Individuals will be rewarded with points for various activities, such as documented proof of seeing a professor outside of class. Visiting with an academic advisor or attending a study/peer tutor session can also earn an individual points. Points are monitored and recorded by the Scholarship chair and assistants.
